Day 7- Yellowstone National Park

We packed up our camping gear in Lizard Creek and made the short drive from Jackson Lake, WY in the Grand Tetons to the south entrance of Yellowstone Park. We have been so lucky avoiding the thunderstorms and have enjoyed beautiful weather!!

Highlights:

Attractions:
~Lewis Lake
~Drove over the Continental Divide 3 times! Peak elevation on divide: 8,391 ft.
~Old Faithful
~Canyon Village
~Drove through over 80 miles of old wildfire evidence

Animals Spotted:
~Loon
~Herds of Bison
~Black Bear and cubs
~Pronghorns and babies
~Mule Deer
~Blue Birds, Ravens, Hawks

Peak Elevation in Park: About 10,000 ft- Washburn Mountain

Min. Temp: 80 deg F (in the park)
Max Temp: 43 deg F (overnight camping)

They walked right next to the car! They can run up to 35 miles an hour!!!
